Raditz

Raditz- A strong, powerful saiyan warrior, Raditz comes to Earth in search of his brother Goku.  Angry and intolerant, Raditz cannot understand why it has taken his brother so long to destroy the "helpless" humans.  Ruthless like all saiyans, Raditz plays on Goku's emotions, lying to his confused brother to avoid being destroyed.  He then kidnaps Gohan, in an effort to persuade Goku to join him.  Goku and Piccolo go to fight Raditz,  though they are enimies at the time.  He and Goku fight bravely, and eventually defeated Raditz when Piccolo blasted him with his special beam cannon.  Unfortunately, in order for this to work, Goku had to pin down Raditz and died with him.  Raditz's last words revealed that two more saiyans would be coming in one year.  Goku was sent to train with King Kai, if he could make it past snake way.  Raditz's scouter, (a machine that shows the location and power level of an opponent,) was retreived by Bulma.  However, it had already transmitted information on the dragon balls to the other saiyans, Nappa and Vegeta, who would come to Earth in search of them.

Nappa

Nappa: Nappa is one of the other Saiyans who responds to Raditz's distress call just before he dies.  Fellow Saiyan with Vegeta, Nappa comes to Earth to destroy and dominate it.  He does much of the early fighting, and eliminates Piccolo, Tien, Chiaotzu, and Yamcha either directly or indirectly through the Saibamen.  Nappa is more brawn than brain and gets overexcited and careless when fighting.  Nappa is inferior to and afraid of Vegeta.  When Nappa loses the fight to Goku, Vegeta turns on him and immediately eliminates him for his weakness.

Saibamen

Saibamen: Saibamen are beings grown from seeds for the single purpose of fighting. They were introduced on Earth by the Saiyans, and they take orders from Nappa and Vegeta, who command them to fight Goku and the others.  With a strong fighting power of 1200 each, these six Saibamen were worthy opponents, but they were are defeated.

Dodoria

Dodoria: Dodoria and Zarbon are Frieza's top two henchmen. Dodoria is a fat, pink, spiky-headed alien. On Namek, when he is chasing Gohan, he runs into Vegeta, whom he then fights. Vegeta wins, and kills him.

Zarbon

Zarbon: Zarbon is one of Frieza's top two henchmen, along with Dodoria. Zarbon is a handsome green-haired fighter. He even catches the eye of Bulma despite the fact that he's a bad guy. Zarbon cannot keep up the flawless appearance forever, and he has to transform into a huge reptilian-like creature to beat Vegeta. Zarbon defeats Vegeta once, but loses and dies at their second confrontation when Vegeta smashes him into the ground.

The Ginyu Force

Evil and powerful, the Ginyu Force is hailed as the most powerful fighting team in the universe. It is made up of five members, each one possessing unique attacks and fighting advantages. When Dodoria and Zarbon are unable to eliminate Krillin, Vegeta, and Gohan and collect the seven Namekian Dragon Balls, Frieza summons the Ginyu Force. Between battles, they enjoy such past times as watching soap operas, playing "rock, paper, scissors" to decide who will fight who, and making bets over chocolate nut bars, their favorite food. The Ginyu Force strikes various poses during their battles. While individually and collectively they are strong, each member is conceited and competitive which leads to their downfall. They hesitate to ask each other for help because they don't want to share the credit for the victory. The members of the Ginyu Force don't seem to care about each other, willing to stand back and watch while their teammates are destroyed.

Guldo

Guldo: Guldo is a short, pudgy, four-eyed creature. Physically, he is the weakest of the Ginyu Force.  He makes up for his lack of strength with his ability to manipulate space and time. Able to read minds, mentally control objects, and freeze time, Guldo can easily conquer a much stronger foe.

Recoome

Recoome: Recoome is a big, redheaded brute, possessing great strength but slow in speed. He is the second strongest on the Ginyu Force, second only to Captain Ginyu.  However, his slowness and great size allow him to be easily evaded. His special technique is the devastating "Recoome Breath Blast".

Jeice, my favorite villain!

Jeice: Jeice has reddish-orange skin and white hair that makes him look like a rock star. He isn't super fast or super strong. Instead, he is a more balanced combination of strength and speed, which makes him very dangerous. He is good friends with Burter, and the two often combine powers to create powerful destructive attacks. He is my favorite villain.

Burter

Burter: Burter is a giant, blue creature, larger than Recoome but surprisingly faster. He is one of the fastest beings alive in the universe, and can run and dodge at incredibly high speeds.  He is good friends with Jeice, and the two work as a team to fight against Goku, creating many attacks by linking their bodies.

Captain Ginyu

Captain Ginyu: Captain Ginyu, with purple skin and black horns, is the strongest of the team, and its leader. He has the unique ability to switch bodies with his opponents. At one point, he switches bodies with Goku, giving him the advantage of fighting with Goku's powerful body and also of confusing Goku's friends. This capability allowed him to sneak-attack them, and they wondered why "Goku" was attackig them.  However, he is eventually defeated when he tries to change bodies with Vegeta, and Goku throws a frog in the way of the beam.  He accidentally and forever changed himself into a frog!

Frieza

Frieza: Freiza is seemingly invincible and very power-hungry.  He is feared as the most powerful and evil being in the universe with no rival being even close to his strength. Upon learning about the legendary Namekan Dragon Balls, Frieza is consumed with a desire to obtain them summon the Dragon, and wish for immortality. Then he could rule the entire universe forever, with absolutely no opposition. Understanding the capability of the Saiyans as fighters, he eliminates their planet to destroy any competition. During his search for the Dragon Balls on Namek, he ruthlessly eliminates all who get in his way. The very mention of his name strikes dread and fear across the universe.

Zarbon and Dodoria are Frieza's two right hand men. They carry out his requests without question, knowing Frieza's character only too well. Frieza also employs the legendary Ginyu Force to take care of his business.

Frieza is a lizard-like creature who can shape-shift into four different forms, with each form more powerful than the last. In his first form, Frieza is in a space pod, appearing rather weak. In the second form, Frieza has two horns on his head and his body is much larger. In the third form, Frieza is in his biggest body and his back is bent and bulky. The fourth form is the perfect form, he is in a smaller body. He has a fifth appearance. After being beaten by Goku, Frieza is rebuilt with robotic parts, and once again poses a threat to our heroes. However, he is easily defeated by Trunks when he comes from the future.

King Cold

King Cold: King Cold is a massive, evil creature. He is Frieza's father, and is similar to Frieza in many ways. His brutality, desire to destroy the world, and his physical appearance and uniform makes the family resemblance to Frieza obvious. King Cold reconstructed Frieza, following the destruction of Namek when all believed Frieza to have been destroyed. With a new half-android and half-organic body, Frieza and his father headed to Earth! Both of them, however, were easily defeated by Trunks who came from the future.

Garlic Jr.

Garlic Junior is a small creature who is both evil and intelligent. He seems like just a blue dwarf with big pointed ears, but he is an evil being with great mental power and plans to take over the universe. He transforms into a large monstrous tyrant, and fights Goku and the others. His biggest desire is to destroy the Namekian guardian of Earth, Kami. In this way, he can rule the Earth. Garlic's father had competed for the position of Earth guardian but he was stopped by Kami who discovered his evil intentions. Garlic Junior was granted immortality by the Eternal Dragon Shenron after collecting Earths seven Dragon Balls, but he is locked in the Dead Zone, a black void he created, by Gohan. Garlic Junior is from the Makyo Star, and his power level is dependent on the Makyo Star. When the Makyo Star nears Garlic Junior, his power is increased and he bursts forth from the Dead Zone to once again put Earth in peril.

The Spice Boys

The Spice Boys: The Spice Boys are four evil warriors who are under the command of Garlic Junior. They are strong, and totally devoted to him. They give the saga a bit of a comical edge with their names; Mustard, Spice, Salt and Vinegar. The leader is Spice, a white-headed villain and the most handsome of the four, and Salt is a short and stubby orange-colored rogue. Both Vinegar and Mustard are large muscle men.

Dr. Gero

Evil science genius Dr. Gero created his most destructive inventions, The Androids #16, #17, #18, #19, and #20. Putting Earth at peril, these androids have amazing strength and enjoy devastation.  Android #20 is actually Dr. Gero himself! To make himself more powerful, he instructs Android #19 to turn him into an android. Androids #19 and #20 are the first androids to come to Earth. They are defeated by Vegeta in an amazing show of strength, but it's not the end of Android #20 and the great threat to Earth. Android #20 has been programmed to repair himself, and more androids show up, #17 and #18.

Android #16

Android #16: Android #16 is an experimental model. A big-muscled, red-haired man, Android #16 is out to destroy Goku. The strong, silent type, he doesn't say much, he is simply super strong. After being destroyed hands of Cell, Bulma collects the pieces of Android #16, reassembling and programming him to fight on the good side. He had told her to do this just before he was destroyed.

Android #17

Android #17: Androids #17 and #18 are teenage androids. They are the ones responsible for the future threat to the Earth, causing Trunks to travel through time to his friends on Earth from the future to stop them. Android #17 is thirsty for some destruction, and just for fun he carries a handgun.  He enjoys watching people die, and loves to blow up buildings.  He is eventually absorbed by Cell, and adds to his immense power.

Android #18

Android #18: Androids 17 and 18 are teenage Androids. They are the ones responsible for the future threat to the Earth, causing Trunks to travel through time to warn his friends. #18 is a blond girl. Although she never stops being evil, #18 later softens up a little, and eventually is married to Krillin.  Together they have a daughter, Maron.

Android #19

Android #19: Android #19 is an overweight Android wearing a strange outfit. He is very excited about eliminating Goku and his friends and uses all the weapons he can. Androids #19 and #20 are the first Androids to come to Earth in the Cell Saga. They are defeated by Vegeta in an amazing show of strength, but it's not the end of Android #20 and the great threat to Earth. Android #20 has been programmed to repair himself, and more Androids show up.

Cell

The most dangerous of all Dr. Gero's creations, Cell, was created in Dr. Gero's lab as a genetic experiment. He has a self-destruct feature, a scorpion-like tail that opens up to absorb the energy of his opponents, and instructions to absorb the power of  the Androids which caused Dr. Gero's downfall. Cell contains the DNA of the mightiest warriors of the universe including Goku, Piccolo and Vegeta. Possessing the DNA of these great warriors, Cell is able to use any one of their attacks. Cell is an almost invincible being.

One of his greatest advantages is being able to regenerate himself at any given time from even the smallest cell. When the good guys believe Cell is destroyed, they find out that a brain cell has survived. From this single cell, Cell regenerates himself and appears out of nowhere, once again threatening Earth. One of Cell's only weak points is that his energy is infinite. He gains power by draining the energy of his enemies using his tai. Cell has three forms: the imperfect form in which we first see him, the second stage where he is ugly and rather deformed with a strange voice, and the final or Perfect Cell, who actually doesn't look too bad. He reaches Cell Stage Two after absorbing Android 17, and when Android 18 is consumed, Cell changes into his third and most powerful form; Perfect Cell. In this form, Cell creates smaller versions of himself that attack the Z Fighters.  Cell is eventually defeated by Gohan when they both fire Kamehameha waves, constantly increasing the power until Cell's isn't strong enough and he is consumed in a violent explosion.
