The Story of DBZ:
Dragonball Z is the sequel to Dragonball, the story of a young
boy named Goku. It tells how he grows up and trains with Master Roshi, and then is taught the rare and powerful Kamehameha
technique, which he uses to defeat powerful enemies. In Dragonball Z, Goku is grown up and has a son, Gohan. When
the Saiyan Raditz comes to Earth, Piccolo, who was once defeated by Goku in the world martial arts tournament, helps Goku
to defend the earth from the Saiyan's immense power. However, Raditz called for help, and his fellow Saiyans are to arrive
in 1 year. Piccolo trains the young Gohan to be tough, and Gohan helps defend the Earth when the Saiyans Vegeta and Nappa
arrive. As the series progresses, many more dangerous enemies arise such as Frieza, His father King Cold, and the infamous
Ginyu Force, who come to Namek seeking the Namekan Dragon Balls. Vegeta joins with Krillin, Gohan and Goku to defend Namek,
but Namek is destroyed. Goku is thought to be dead, but arrives just in time for when Cell arrives. Trunks comes
from the future to warn Goku of a disease he will later have, and gives him the antidote. Goku and his friends face the
androids #19 and #20, but find out that these are not the true challenge. Androids #17 and #18 arrive, and they are fought
as well. Then Cell comes along anc complicates things further. When Gohan finally defeats Cell, peace returns for
a time. Android #18 actually softens up and eventually marries Krillin. Goku was killed in the fight with Cell,
so he goes to other world. After some time, they learn of a new threat called Majin Buu. They participate in another
martial arts tournament, and run into the supreme Kai who tells them of this threat. They fly away from the tournament
to face the creatures that are attempting to revive Majinn Buu. They battle characters such as Pui Pui, Yakon, Deborah,
Bobbhity, and finally, Buu. But Buu has many forms and overwhelms the warriors. All are eventually eliminated except
for Goku and Vegeta. Goku and Vegeta fuse together to create Gogeta. They fight for some time, but are turned into candy
by Buu's powers and eaten. They fight their way out of his innards, and face him again. however, Earth is destroyed.
But all is not lost! Goku, after his friends reach namek when the Supreme Kai takes them there with his powers,
wishes for the Earth to be restored. Vegeta calls him a fool. But Goku realizes that the only way to defeat Buu
is if everyone in the entire world joins powers. He speaks to everyone on Earth, and asks them to raise their hands
to help with the fight against Majiin Buu. But, nobody believes him! Strangely enough, Hercule the idiot ends up saving the
day by lying that he is the one to defeat Buu if they give him their power... The spirit bomb is overwhelming, and
they eventually destroy Buu.
Goku faces many challenges throughout his life. His friends Piccolo, Yamcha, Tien, Chioutzu, Krillin, the befriended saiyan
Vegeta and his son Trunks, along with his own son Gohan help him defend earth and often take the action into their
own hands.
