Gundam

The story of Gundam:

The story starts in Universal Century 0079. Many had to leave Earth because of war and pollution. Because of this, colonies called sides were established in outer space. The evil principality of Zeon is in a one year war with the earth federation, and this is where the story begins, in Mobile Suit Gundam. In this series, a crew of orphans and outcasts live in a spaceship called White Base. We follow young Amuro Ray on his adventures as he pilots his Gundam against Zakus and the sinister Char. 0080 centers mostly in on life in the colonies, and is about a boy named Al, who has an older brother on the Zeon side. The series tells of his struggles in everyday life, and just how violent a war can be inside a colony, putting all of its inhabitants in grave danger. 0083, and 08th MS Team continue this story, with characters like Kou, who in 0083 pilots the Gundam unit 1. Zeon returns in 0083, and Kou ends up trying to save Earth from an abandoned space colony that Zeon has sent hurtling towards it.

In 08th MS Team, Shiro Omada finds himself the leader of Mobile Suit Team number 8. His comrades think he is an amateur, but he shows his strength at times, though he is new. There is a girl that Kou keeps his eye on, but it turns out, though neither of them find out until later, that they are actually enemies. There are times when they fight in suits and they don't know it's eachother.

G gundam takes place somewhat after all of this occurs. There are new types of colonies, named after their originating countries. An example would be "Neo America" or "Neo Japan". In this series, a man named Domon Kashu is a gundam fighter. Gundam fighters were created in order to avoid war between colonies. Instead of armies, a single gundam representing a single country will fight. The entire earth is barely inhabited, and it is practically just a large battleground for the gundams.
